Important Information:
SDL Trados 2007 SP2 licence is linked to HD or NETWORK CARD identifier. In this case it is linked to network card MAC-address.
So there is nothing easier than to change the MAC-address of the network card.
WARNING!!! If your Internet provider links your account to the network card MAC-address please make sure that you are able to make them change the MAC-address in your account settings, otherwise your computer will not connect to Internet.
Alternatively, if you have two network cards (e.g. a LAN card and a WiFi card), change the MAC-address of the card that you DO NOT use to connect to the Internet via your Internet provider.
In any case, one network card in the computer with the MAC-address 0015e92d5e74 is enough. Just be sure the network card is not off (check it from Control Panel and BIOS Setup).
The procedure is as follows:
1. Change your network card MAC-address using SMAC. Use MAC-address 0015e92d5e74.
Reboot the computer. After reboot, use SMAC to verify that the new MAC-address is 0015e92d5e74.
2. Copy the license.lic file to your HD.
3. Install the SDL FLEXlm License Server. When asked, point the Licensing Tool to the license.lic file.
4. Install SDL Trados 2007 Suite PRO (build 863) and MultiTerm 2007 Desktop SP1 (build 448).
These appz do not contact the developers' servers. Any firewall warnings of internet access requests by
these tools refer to the licensing server on your machine. You must allow "internet access" for license verification.
